Volgens Newton is de aurakleur geen teken van macht, maar een aanduiding van de ervaring en de functie van de ziel: «de tint hangt af van hoever je gevorderd bent». De basiskleuren — wit, geel en blauw — verbond hij met etappes van ontwikkeling.<br />
